Ihab Ahmad is a painter and sculptor based in UAE whose works have been exhibited in France, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy, Turkey, USA, UAE, China and Lebanon. His art explores themes of universal harmony and the profound connection between nature and humanity.
Ahmad’s vivid abstractions often incorporate recurring symbols such as fish, eyes, and trees interwoven with bold patterns and geometric forms.
Born in Beirut in 1983, Ahmad graduated with a degree in Visual Communication Art from the Lebanese University. He also participated in several workshops focused on silkscreen printing, painting, and drawing. In 2016, he founded “Beirut Art Studio,” space dedicated to teaching art to both children and adults.
Ahmad’s practice is diverse, spanning acrylic and collage on canvas as well as metal and wood sculptures infused with contemporary flair. His use of natural symbols—fish, eyes, trees—and man-made motifs such as patterns and geometric shapes culminates in vibrant, expressive abstractions. This artistic language stems from his determination to overcome childhood memories of war. For Ahmad, art and color became a refuge and a powerful expression of optimism.
Every work he creates invites viewers into a dialogue with the surreal, triggering imagination and offering an open-ended horizon of contemplation and interpretation. Through this process, his symbols not only reveal aspects of the artist’s psyche but also transcend it, creating universal connections through visual poetry.
